Zhejiang Xiaoshan Hospital is a non-profit, public large-scale comprehensive hospital built on the foundation of the original Xiaoshan District Maternal and Child Health Hospital and the Fifth People's Hospital. It was newly constructed at a different location to provide better healthcare services to the community.
Currently designated as a Grade A Tier 3 (Grade III, Type A) comprehensive hospital, we are honored to serve as the Ministry of Health's Endoscopy Technical Gynecology Training Base, the Ministry of Health's "Cervical Cancer Early Detection, Early Diagnosis, Early Treatment" (PCC Project) demonstration unit in Xiaoshan, and a cooperative hospital with Zhejiang University First Affiliated Hospital and Shanghai Ruijin Hospital.
Additionally, we are a teaching and research base for Hangzhou Normal University School of Medicine and Yangtze University School of Medicine, as well as a practice base for Zhejiang Chinese Medical University School of Management.
The hospital occupies 168 acres of land with a building area of 93,000 square meters. We have 800 designated beds with capacity for 1,100 open beds, ensuring we can accommodate the growing healthcare needs of our community.
Our workforce consists of 1,320 dedicated employees, including 1,029 medical technicians. Among our staff, 33 hold senior professional titles, 99 hold associate senior titles, and 42 have doctoral or master's degrees, forming a highly qualified medical team.
Equipped with internationally top-brand linear accelerators, BSD2000 deep tumor phased array thermotherapy systems, 1.5T superconducting magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), 16-slice spiral CT, large flat panel digital subtraction angiography (DSA), digital X-ray radiography (DR), and other large diagnostic and treatment equipment, as well as the most advanced endoscopic treatment rooms in the country.
Our facility includes 3 Class 100 (ISO 5) and multiple Class 1000 (ISO 6) and Class 10000 (ISO 7) clean-standard meeting various surgical requirements operating rooms,. Currently, we serve over 1.5 million outpatient visits annually, over 40,000 inpatients, and perform over 14,000 surgeries, making us one of the most modern and comprehensive hospitals in the region.
Following the development strategy of "Strong Specialties, Comprehensive Services," Zhejiang Xiaoshan Hospital has established strong specialty departments in Gynecology, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Oncology.
Our comprehensive departments include Emergency, ICU, Respiratory Medicine, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Cardiovascular Medicine, Nephrology, Hematology, Psychology, General Surgery, Urology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Pediatric Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Stomatology, Dermatology, Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine Internal Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine Gynecology, Traditional Chinese Medicine Pediatrics, and Rehabilitation Medicine, as well as the Mother-Baby Rehabilitation Center.
Among them, Gynecology is a leading discipline at the county level in Zhejiang Province, Obstetrics serves as the emergency center for mothers and infants in Xiaoshan District, and Oncology is the only structured tumor diagnosis and treatment center in the district.
